“Corrie has a knack of getting very quickly to the issue at hand and offers a new way of thinking as well as ideas to move my art along. Her support has been invaluable and inspiring allowing me to approach art with more freedom and less judgement. I see so many possibilities now that I would have missed before.” -Jollean

“I have participated in several of Corrie’s classes and worked with her one-on-one many times. Whenever someone tells me they are struggling to stay motivated or find a connection in their art practice, I recommend joining any community that Corrie is hosting, whether it’s a formal class or a meet-up. Corrie provides deeply resonant readings and examples that are often new to me. She listens with generosity and attention, always offering encouraging and thoughtful comments. I can’t count the number of times Corrie has asked me a question that opened up new avenues for me and helped me overcome blockages.
In addition, I frequently seek Corrie’s assistance with grants and applications. She consistently helps me refine my message while ensuring my voice remains intact. I genuinely believe that her care and attention have contributed to my success on numerous occasions. As an arts educator myself, being in Corrie’s classrooms and meeting spaces has modelled the kind of community I aspire to create in my own learning environments. ” – Michelle

“Care, sensitivity, and inspiration. (the three words that come to mind when I think of Corrie’s teaching style)
Corrie is a sensitive facilitator of the creative process. Corrie empowers her students to trust their own ideas, stories, and experiences. Her inquisitive and caring nature helps any artist to locate their ideas in a broader context. I especially appreciated the structure that Corrie designs into her sessions, artfully weaving inspiration with a process-based practice that builds upon itself week by week. If you want to deepen your artistic practice I would highly recommend Corrie’s individualized support!” -Jessie
MENDING, UNRAVELLING & WEAVING : 12 week in-person course.

The class will introduce contemporary artists, current writers and thinkers working with textiles, and what it means to mend, unravel and weave in our lives and art practices. Students will be supported and challenged at their individual skill level to develop projects that combine the learnt textile techniques with conceptual content. No previous experience necessary.
